October Stein Round Up

Last week Wednesday, the second Wednesday of the month, was Stein Night at the Come Back in. It was a good night, with much spirited debate, quality beer and many, many opinions. Here is my disordered recollection of the night’s topics:

‘Atlas Shrugged’; ‘The Fountainhead’; The Ringworld Series; It Was Declared That 3XHAR Was, Is, And Shall Be Wrong; The True Star Wars, IV, V, And VI; It Is Reported That The Dancing Giese Has Misquoted Yoda, After A Brief Investigation, The Dancing Giese Is Cleared Of All Charges; Hating Is Wrong, Unless You Hate A Conservative President; Dubya Is A Brain Damaged Coke Head And He Is As Wrong As 3XHAR About Everything, And He’s A Liar And He’s Dumb And He Stole The Election And He Lied About The War And He Has A Texas Accent; Vibs And The Dancing Giese Make A Bold Prediction: No Democracy In Iraq For The Next 20 Years (The Recent Elections Are Not Counted As Democracy); 3XHAR Predicts Democracy In Iraq In Five Years (If You Don’t Count This Saturday’s Election For Some Reason); Strangely, Someone At The Table Is Attracted To Baby Cows; 3XHAR Shall Not Look At The Hair; Donde Esta Galvez?; The New Medical Concern: Chest Pain; Wine; The Movie Jedi Speaks, Then Gestures Hypnotically; Intelligent Design Is Not A Theory That Has Any Scientific Or Predictive Value; The Definition Of Terrorism Has No Bearing On The Act’s Justifications; 3XHAR Makes Outlandish Claims: He Will Run In The Chicago Marathon Next Year; The Whiteness Of Madison; Excuse Me, What Is Your Elephant’s Name?; 3XHAR Reminisces… Timpano, Soprano’s Premiere, The Sauce Of Joe; Why Was My Glass Mug In A Kiln?; The Nice Breezy Lull, Bracketed By Storms; Are The Palestinian’s The First True Arab Democracy?; Dutch Gets The Six Day War; A Table Of Daves; Do Not Weep For The Lost Manufacturing Jobs; The Danger Of Only Reading That Which You Find Agreeable; The Carnal Upside To Volleyball.
